Renowned author Deepak Chopra M.D. talks about sensations. He says that the universe has provided us with a mechanism that helps us make the correct choices spontaneously. It has to do with our body’s sensations, sensations of comfort and discomfort. One may ask his body “If I make this choice, what will happen?” If your body sends a message of comfort then it’s correct to take that choice. If on the other hand you get a message of discomfort then it’s the wrong choice. For some people the sensation is in the area of the solar plexus, for others it is in the heart area. The important point that Deepak Chopra is making here is that we must become consciously aware that our future is generated by the choices that we make every moment of our lives.

In his book The Spontaneous Healing Of Belief: Shattering The Paradigm Of False Limits (2008:62), author Gregg Braden tells a story about a conversation he had with the Abbot of an 800 years old monastery at the base of the Himalayan mountains. He had asked the Abbot, What do people see when they see them pray? The abbot replied to Gregg Braden that people don’t really see them pray, because they cannot see them pray. What people do see is what the praying people do to create the feeling in their bodies. “Feeling is the prayer”. Here Gregg Braden reminds us that in the Gnostic and Christian traditions we are given instructions on how to create feelings that produce miracles in the book of John (16:24):” Ask without hidden motive and be surrounded by your answer”

According to Ancient Sanskrit texts, the first three charkas are associated with the experience of emotions the upper ones are thoughts logic and communication. Thoughts have little power without emotions. Emotions are what propels us forward in life or what destroys us in life. It depends on our ability to harness them, and this is where we need thoughts. They are our guidance system. To create feelings author Gregg Braden says in his book The Spontaneous Healing Of Belief: Shattering The Paradigm of False Limits (2008:66)”when we marry the thoughts in our minds with the power of the emotions that emanate from our lower energy centers, we create feelings”.

Belief is a form of feeling. When we hold a belief about something, we usually have a feeling about it, a strong feeling. As Gregg Braden writes in his book The Spontaneous Healing Of Belief: Shattering The Paradigm of False Limits (2008:68):”Beliefs, and the feelings that we have about them, are the language that “speaks” to the quantum stuff that makes our reality.”

Sometimes our beliefs are caused by body resonance, known to most of us as vibes and not by thoughts. Resonance, the exchange of energy between two things, it is a two way experience. It lets one thing come into balance with the other. For example if we put two guitars in the opposite side of a room, and we pluck the lowest string on one of the guitars, the other guitar across the room will vibrate on the same octave, as if we plucked it. Both guitars are equal in their ability to share the energy of a wave traveling through space, across the room.

Resonance has a very big part in our lives, from turning to our favorite television station to the feeling we have when someone says nice things to us. Our experience of our belief is about the resonance between that and us which is in front of us. Our physical body responds to our experience by directing our thoughts to what we see, hear or feel. When our experience resonates with us our body’s response says to us that it’s “true” at that time. The response of “True” is not necessarily “the truth”, but it holds true to us at that moment. In our experience of body truth we get physical sensations: goose bumps, ringing in the ears, flushing of the face, upper chest and arms.

What Prevents Us From Achieving Our Desires?

Why is it that the wishes we have don’t always turn out the way we want them to? The answer is: our Belief system. We have our conscious mind that we choose things with, this mind only operates 1-5% of the day. The rest of the day, we operate from the subconscious...

Forgiveness (a short version)

All of us at one time or another  hold on to anger and resentment which gets us stuck in our life.  We get hurt twice, once when we feel hurt by someone close (more often than not) to us, and the second time is when we hold on to the hurt feelings and the...

The Shadow

The Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung coined the term “shadow” to describe the hidden side of the human psyche. There are hidden (unconscious) aspects of ourselves, both good and bad, which our ego repressed or denied, and we do not realize. “The...

The Elephant in The Room – March 2020 Update

Dear Sistars and Starbrothers, I felt that I need to address the “elephant in the room” because we are all getting bombarded by different fear stories and reports. I refuse to look at the conspiracy theories about the CoronaVirus, not because they are not real (some...
